Notice
We regret to inform you that The Dining Guide has been shut down indefinitely. It is a sad day for me, as I’m sure it is for many of you who used The Dining Guide often. However, it takes time, money, and the cooperation of local restaurants to keep this site updated. As some of you have noticed recently, that is not happening. It is time to bow out now before this becomes a useless, and potentially misleading, online resource.
However, this doesn’t have to be where it ends. I am open to suggestions for taking this idea to the next level. At this point, I would define that as a standalone dining site that will generate enough revenue to cover operating expenses and reasonable compensation for two part-time employees. I can perform all the technical work, but I do not have the time to sell to and/or interface with the 150+ local restaurants to keep it current.
I believe this is a great service to offer the community, and that sentiment has been validated by the many positive comments that I have received over the past two years. Please feel free to contact me to offer any comments or suggestions, or to discuss ideas on working together to breathe some new life into this worthwhile project.
Thank you for your support.
